Your customers love video. Whether they watch television, videos on YouTube, demonstration videos on websites, or videos on their phones, the most effective way to communicate with them is by producing professional videos about your business.
There are all kinds of videos that can help your business:
- Instructional videos
- Customer testimonials
- Animated videos
- TV News type videos
- Videos for your company website
- Corporate introduction videos
- Sales presentations
- PowerPoint videos
- Video press releases
- Webinar videos
- Videos using graphics only
- Video public service announcements
- Promo videos to introduce a product
- Product or service demonstrations
- Event or “behind the scene” videos
- Video interviews with your executives
- Television commercials or infomercials
- Exhibitor videos for your convention booth
- Drone videos showing your location or product
- Storytelling videos about your product, service or company
One of the great things about video is that it is reusable. You may shoot footage for a television commercial and then reuse that footage to create a corporate video, or a sales presentation or any other type of video. Any footage shot, becomes an asset you can use over and over again.
Video production usually requires the following steps:
- Consultation: Define the strategy and goal
- Creative brainstorming: Solidify the idea
- Script writing: What will the characters and/or narrator say; what will be on the screen
- Shooting: Is it on location or in-studio on set, or in front of a green screen
- Audio: Voice-over, on-camera, music choice, sound effects
- Editing: This is where we build the video with footage, audio and graphics
- Approval and distribution format: Is it for TV, online, website, DVD?
That question is a lot like asking a real estate agent how much a house costs. The simple answer is, “It depends on the house.” Luckily, there are video production types that cost very little, so there is a way to get started without breaking the bank.
Stevenson Advertising has been producing video for over 25 years, and we have done just about every kind you can imagine. We have worked with very small clients and very large clients. Our goal is to help you stay within your budget and accomplish your goals. By doing so, we keep you as a customer and we have many customers that have been working with us for over 20 years. Many of our customers started very small, and are now very large as a result of effective video.
The cost of a video is tied to a number of factors:
- The time it takes to produce
- The complexity of the shoot
- The number of shoots we need to do
- The type of equipment needed
- Are we shooting indoors, outdoors, in a studio
- The location for the shoot (shooting here is cheaper than in another country)
- The size of the shoot crew (from 1 to 500 people)
- The talent (actors, voice talents, extras) and their costs (celebs can cost a lot)
- The length of the video
- The cost of music, graphics, animation, etc.
- Do we need to pay for the rights to use material
- The time it takes to edit the final video.
